What It's Not

Some complain that it doesn't provide a feature of ( insert a brand name here ).

If your career is based upon a single brand name, then CoreReader may not be for you. It is intentionally designed for the universal data source.

CoreReader is not an attempt to replace any of the specialized tools on the market that do excellent little jobs.

CoreReader does not pretend to be a database server. In fact, it loves database servers because it is a true datasource server.

Cost

Absolutely Free,

if you read and accept the license.
Other than that, no strings attached.

Stability

Let's get some things in the open:
1 - One man builds CoreModel, CoreReader, and AxleBase.
2 - Their complexity is extreme.
    3 - I continue enhancing them.

Therefore, bugs are always popping up.

Upgrades are frequently posted on this web site. Do not upgrade a production system to a new release until you test it.

If you notify me of an unacceptable problem in a release that you want to use, I will fix it within 48 hours, with an objective of doing it within 24, and with no strings attached.

Perhaps this is indicative: I use my tools on my own contract job sites.

History

CoreReader is a result of the CoreModel initiative. A CoreModel installation consists of many servers and workstations which use multiple databases. During a CoreModel stress test, the operator needed to monitor various databases under various database servers. It was an overwhelming task for one man!

A tool was needed to speed and simplify that chore, so a query module was developed inside CoreModel. That module worked so well that it was spun off as the CoreReader project.
